Good morning! Last full day in Iceland. Better make the most of it. Will be sending postcards today so we’ll be back before they arrive.
Tons of shopping today. More tomorrow. I’m pretending I do not know what the exchange rate is. Hope I find a job soon….
It is nice to get a full nights sleep and be able to make coffee when I wake up.
Back to civilization (Reykjavik) in a gorgeous apartment Lots of driving today; went behind a waterfall and in an ice filled lava cave.
I walked on and went inside a glacier today!
Packed and going to sleep. Getting up early tomorrow to get a car (*gulp*) and go to the Golden Circle to see geyser and þingvellir.
Home from a day wandering around Reykjavik. I want to buy so many things and they are all very expensive.
Off to a very jet lagged start to day 2. It is a vacation and supposed to be relaxing, right?
In Reykjavic in our very cute apartment with heated floors and a giant shower. Fell asleep and am just getting around to leaving to explore.
Good bye kitties and apartment. See you in a week!
When I travel I am always paranoid that I will not have enough to read. This is why I need a kindle.
Luck is finding clothes that you forgot you had that fill an immediate need and still fit you.
P(C)HRs=great idea. It is who might be implementing it (Re: Google) that scares me. I think I can trust the Mayo Clinic. http://is.gd/tD7v
Oh I hate mornings. I know it is cliche. Thank you for existing, coffee.
spreadache.
Another long day: More shifting (so close to being done!) and two different reference desks. Gerstein v. Steacie: Who can entertain me more?
I’m pretty sure the #Canucks are winning only because I keep forgetting they are playing. Perhaps I should continue this strategy.
Question! Answer: You have the wrong call number.
Not a single question in 2 hours.
Boy is it quiet….
Looking forward to a Sunday at Steacie reference desk. Not looking forward to a Sunday commute.
If you want a postcard from iceland email me your address angela@indestructible.ca
It is so hot in my apartment because despite the fact that it was 20 degrees out yesterday they turned the heat back on. die.
I *heart* Neko Case
Feeling inspired to learn some new skills this summer. Suggestions?
Is it terrible that I think a fir tree growing in someone’s lung is pretty cool if only a little horrifying? http://is.gd/sI4C
It’s a new day!
Going in now
Why does my apartment smell like cake?? I’m not making a cake which means I don’t get to eat cake. Bed time. Cake-y bedtime.
Listening to Neko Case and remembering why I don’t love Pubmed. Sorry Pubmed, Ovid is just so much prettier… but you keep trying.
I have three remaining emusic credits. I will buy the next three songs suggested that are a) on emusic and b) I do not already own
Pardon my bragging but a good way to finish my masters is to get an A+ on my final paper and have the prof suggest I try to get it published
That was quick and EXCELLENT!!!! Score one for the day.
So…. close….
Back to the Gerstein dungeon to push books around. Whee!
What is that I see off in the distant? Why there IS a light at the end of this tunnel called MISt. And here I thought you kids were kidding.
Never thought ‘d say this but: I love you Times New Roman; thank you for putting me within my page limit! Screw you Helvetica you space hog!
I hate shopping. Unless it is for pretty, pretty shoes. Or jackets. Everything else is evil.
One step closer.
Shifting almost 100 years worth of Chemical Abstracts. Wheeeeee!!!!
I almost forgot how much I like the new Mother Mother album. You should go listen to it right now. http://is.gd/rBjT (warning: myspace)

Go team go! Anyone know places to see Canucks games in Toronto? RT @giustini Canucks trounced the Flames, how sweet it is!~
Frommer’s travel book for Iceland=an awesome amount of information. Take that internet! Thanks @davitydave
It would cost me $152 to “buy” full DRM-free access to the music I already own from itunes. Thanks Apple!
I’m happiest when I’m planning something.
Writing about privacy while broadcasting myself on twitter, giving my documents to google and telling my life on facebook. Apropriate.
I’m now recording the voiceovers for my Pubmed and Web of Science tutorials which means I get to listen to my own voice over and over. ugh.
Good morning sunshine! Wait… Where did the sunshine go? What is this white slushy stuff??
